Brachial Neuritis

What is Brachial Neuritis?

Brachial Neuritis, also known as Parsonage-Turner Syndrome is a peripheral nerve disorder that most commonly begins with sudden and severe muscle pain in the upper arm, shoulder, biceps, chest, and hand.

Within days to weeks the pain turns into muscle weakness, flaccidity, and in more severe instances paralysis. Peripheral nerve disorders may be described as pain or loss of function in the nerves that are responsible for carrying signals to the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord).
